Re-mapping Europe in Amsterdam
The ongoing ‘migration crisis’ has painfully revealed many of the geographical contradictions of the European project.
Paul Adams was part of a two-day conference in Amsterdam called «Re-mapping Europe?», which was held at the University of Amsterdam and co-organized with Oxford University on December 1-2, 2016. Adams presented a paper called «Hidden Topologies of Social Surveillance».
The conference aimed to understand what sort of new spatial formations and modes of governance are emerging in relation to today’s multiple social, political and economic challenges.
